Kate Meriwether

Ms. Meriwether serves as a Client Advisor in Private Banking at Oakworth Capital Bank.  Beginning her career in financial services in 2001, she worked as a management trainee, quickly working her way through retail banking where she became a Financial Center Manager and later transitioned into the mortgage lending industry.  While in the mortgage industry, she served as a senior loan coordinator, processor, conventional loan underwriter, and mortgage originator.  Ms. Meriwether transitioned back into financial services, serving as Vice President and Retail Market Manager and was later designated as the Professional and Executive Banking Representative for the Birmingham Market.  Most recently, she was an SBA Business Development Officer.  She has a passion for her hometown of Mountain Brook, and for building long-lasting relationships while providing the highest level of customer service to her clients.  Ms. Meriwether serves as a Board Member and past Junior Board President of the Girls Inc. of Central Alabama where she has been active for the past 7 years.  She was a 2018 BBJ Top 40 Under 40 Honoree.  She is a member of the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce and participates in various other community activities in Birmingham and surrounding areas. Her recent volunteer efforts have included financial literacy presentations through organizations such as United Way, Jessie’s Place, and Junior Achievement.
