Luther J. Strange, III

Mr. Strange is founder and principle at the law firm of Luther Strange & Associates, LLC.  Mr. Strange represented Alabama in the United States Senate from February of 2017 to January of 2018.  From January of 2011 until his appointment to the Senate in February of 2017, Mr. Strange served as the Attorney General of Alabama.  Before entering public service, Strange was a partner with the law firm of Bradley, Arant, Boult, Cummings, LLP.  Strange attended Tulane University on a basketball scholarship, receiving his BA in 1975. Before attending law school, he worked as an Ordinary Seaman on an oil field supply ship operating in the North Sea. He received his JD from Tulane in 1979. He was inducted into the Tulane Law School Hall of Fame in 2016.  Active in civic and cultural affairs, Mr. Strange served on the Advisory Board of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, and as a Trustee of Talladega College, Alabamaʼs oldest historically black college. An Eagle Scout at age 13, Strange was named in 2011 as a recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Eagle Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America.
