Family banking with a high-tech neighborhood bank.

We’ve long been friends with some of the key folks at Oakworth. So when we found out about the plans for Oakworth, we were 100% on board. In fact, moving our banking and investment portfolios to them was actually an easy decision to make.

We have checking accounts, money market accounts, custodial accounts, trusts for our grandchildren and children, two 401Ks, and assorted other investment accounts. So, I suppose you could say we’re an excellent litmus test for Oakworth’s service. I’m pleased to tell you that you’ll find no better service anywhere.

In a way, it’s like banking with a neighborhood bank like there used to be. It feels small in the sense that everybody knows you. Anybody at Oakworth can answer your questions ‒ even if your client advisor is out of the office.

Do I miss having bank branches? Not in the least. Oakworth has done a great job of making it easy to handle transactions over the computer or on your telephone. I use my cell phone to deposit checks and to check my accounts every day. So it’s like a neighborhood bank with really simple technology. I also use their valet banking service. It’s a simple thing to call ahead and tell them I’m stopping by. They meet me curbside, we conduct our business and I’m on about my day. What could be easier?

I have to say, I think the real secret to Oakworth’s success is their hiring. I tell them that they have acquired the very best associates out there. They are knowledgeable, smart, personable, and they know what they’re doing. The people make all the difference.
